The L9679PTR device was created for the mature airbag market and the integrated safety market. It is compatible with L9678, L9680 and other devices. The device uses small, inexpensive external components, coupled with a high-frequency power supply design that reduces cost.
The switching regulator for this product operates at 1.882 MHz. Its quiescent current is small and can be directly connected to the battery. Therefore, the wakeup input function of the device can control activation and deactivation.
